No recibis ningun testimonio hasta despues la prueba de vuestro fe

Devin king 3-21-2019

Hey everyone we had a fun crazy week here in Apizaco.

We were able to have exchanges with our district leaders whose area is about an hour and a half away from ours in auto bus so we had to travel their and i traveled their and back 4 times which was a little much but its fine ha ha it went well. We were able to work hard and help them out a lot.

This week we didn't really have a lot of lessons or a lot of people progressing so it was really hard. and Friday was especially one of those days were in the morning we didn't have anything so we went to a part of our area that we haven't visited before and door after door and person after person we were getting rejected.  But I kept saying the scripture in Ether that says we don't receive our testimony until after the trial of faith to myself and my companion and we just kept going and going until one of the last people we contacted showed a lot of interest and we were able to talk with him and his wife and his daughter for a little bit and we have an appointment later this week so we are really excited to see what we can do with them.

Then Saturday was the same a lot of our appointments fell through until our very last one when we went to visit a reference from the other missionaries close to us and we were able to put a baptismal date with her and she is really excited to learn more as well.

And then Sunday we had invited lot of people to church and I mean a lot but only one of the people that we invited came but one of the sisters in our ward found a family when she was on her way to church and they came and we were able to put a baptismal date with the mom and her daughter so we literally went from having nothing to having 4 baptismal dates and 3 people in sacrament meeting which honestly was such a big blessing for us.

I know that sometimes the Lord is going to test our faith to see what we are made of but He will never give us anything that we can't handle or bear and I have really seen that in the mission. Because I've been tested to the core sometimes and that is when I can really see the hand of the Lord in our life.

Love you all and hope you have a great week.

A trip to the hospital and Elder Holland is coming

March 18, 2019 at 1:49

Hey everyone I hope that your week has bee great, I had a super interesting week here in Apizaco.

To start off with we almost didn't have any time to work in our own area cause we had interviews with the mission president and had to do baptism interviews for our district leaders and then we also had zone conference so it was hard to work here in our area but we really saw the hand of the Lord this week blessing the people in our area and we were able to have a lot of lessons in the short time we had which was awesome and just blessings after blessings for us here.

In our zone conference our Mission President talked about how we should use the Atonement in our lives to become better missionaries but i think it doesn't only apply to being missionaries but it applies to all of us i think we often take the atonement for granted and really don't appreciate all that Jesus did to suffer for us and to help us come closer to Him.  So I invite all of you this week to try and apply the Atonement more in your lives to become better people and to live the gospel better.

We also received a notice that a May elder Holland is coming to our mission and that we are all going to have the chance to meet with him so we are all really excited to learn from him and we are going to have to study his conference talk so that he doesn't get upset with us ha ha .  But its such a blessing I've always wanted to meet Elder Holland and now that I get to meet him as missionary its going to be sooooooooo much cooler.

Love you all and hope you have an amazing week.
